PPL invests $4.7 million to recommission Maine's 3-MW Orono ALLENTOWN, Pa., U.S. 4/30/08 (HCI) — PPL Corp. announced April 30 it intends to spend $4.7 million to renovate and recommission the 2.323-MW Orono hydroelectric project on Maine's Penobscot River, increasing capacity to 3 MW.
